Oreo, Reese’s Thrill Fans With New Crossover Snacks: When You Can Get Them

Two of the nation’s most recognizable treats are finally establishing their relationship after years of speculation, hacking, and wishful thinking.

On Wednesday, July 30, Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups and Oreo revealed their long-awaited partnership. Fans of cookies and candy will soon be able to enjoy two new products that combine the popular peanut butter and chocolate delicacies.

The “hard launch” of the Reese’s Oreo Cup and the Oreo Reese’s Cookie is scheduled for Tuesday, September 2.

Dan Mohnshine, vice president of US confection marketing at The Hershey Company, stated, “We knew we had to make magic happen when we heard the incredible demand for a Reese’s and Oreo mashup.” “This isn’t just another product launch it’s two legendary brands coming together to create something absolutely unprecedented that’ll blow minds and taste buds everywhere.”

The candy company’s lineup will always include the Oreo-flavored Reese’s cup, which combines crushed Oreo cookie bits with milk chocolate and white creme peanut butter cups. King Size, Standard, and Miniature cups will all be offered.

The iconic chocolate sandwich cookies with a peanut buttery Reese’s creme center are featured in the Reese’s-flavored Oreo cookie. Additionally, Oreo crumbs will be incorporated into the cookie.

The Oreo Reese’s Cookie will be permanently available in January 2026 following its fall introduction.

Michelle Deignan, the US vice president of Oreo, stated, “At Oreo, we’re always striving to break into the cultural conversation with unexpected and delicious partnerships for fans.” “As a brand that has been around for more than 110 years, we’re always searching for new ways to upend the snacking industry. There is no better way to demonstrate to our followers that we are aware of their changing snacking demands than to collaborate with the Reese’s brand to create the collaboration of their dreams.

Hearing about the new munchies that were based on their own concoctions delighted the fans.

“I am so excited to bake cookies using all of these products,” one Instagram commenter commented.

Another guy said, “The union we all have been waiting for has now been realized.”

On Monday, August 18, the Reese’s Oreo Cups presale will start. Fans can sign up on Oreo’s website for even earlier access, but the Oreo Reese’s cookie presale will also start on that day.

The much awaited partnership comes as Hershey anticipates sharply rising chocolate and candy prices as a result of historic increases in cocoa prices. Since 2023, prices have more than doubled, and earlier in 2025, futures were trading close to $10,000 per ton.

Longtime Hershey’s CEO Michele Buck will be replaced in mid-August by Kirk Tanner, a former CEO of Wendy’s.
