Authorities in Maryland are requesting assistance in identifying the driver involved in a fatal hit-and-run that occurred in Temple Hills early on Friday morning.

The Prince George’s County Police Department reports that at approximately 3:30 a.m. on August 1, officers were summoned to the intersection of Branch Avenue and Woods Way in connection with a pedestrian collision.
They discovered the traumatized victim in the road when they got there. According to police, he passed away at the site.
Investigators think that when they struck the man, the vehicle was traveling south on Branch Avenue and continued on. According to investigations, the striking car is thought to be a dark-colored Honda Civic with probable front-end damage.
The victim’s name has not yet been made public by the police since the family has not been notified.
