In an early-morning collision in Dutchess County, a person was hit by a box truck and received potentially fatal injuries.

To transport a person who was hit by a box truck in Beacon, a helicopter arrives in Memorial Park.

According to the Beacon Fire Department, firemen and first responders were called to a reported automobile vs. pedestrian collision on Leonard Street in Beacon at approximately 1:11 a.m. on Saturday, July 26.

According to Dutchess County 911’s initial reports, the person might have been stuck beneath the truck. When emergency personnel came, they discovered the victim in the road, not trapped but with severe, perhaps fatal injuries.
