Philly Man Installed Hidden Cameras In Boardwalk Bathrooms: Ocean City Police

Authorities said Friday, June 20, that a 38-year-old Philadelphia man had been apprehended for placing covert cameras inside a restroom on a promenade along the Jersey Shore.

A woman discovered a recording device in one of the public restrooms near 6th Street and the Boardwalk about 12:25 p.m. on Thursday, June 12, according to Ocean City police. According to police, officers found more cameras in the public restrooms on 10th Street and 11th Street.

Harold Perkins was identified as the suspect after an inquiry, and after his Philadelphia house was searched, he was taken into custody, according to police.

According to authorities, Perkins is accused of six charges of violating someone’s privacy and six counts of putting children’s welfare in jeopardy by producing child pornography.

According to authorities, he is still in Pennsylvania pending extradition hearings.
