Sketch Released Of Suspect In Jogger Sexual Assault Near Fort Hale Dog Park In New Haven
A sketch of a guy accused of sexually assaulting a woman last weekend while she was jogging on a trail close to Fort Hale Dog Park has been made public by New Haven police.
A sketch of a guy who allegedly sexually assaulted a woman at Fort Hale on August 9 has been made public by New Haven investigators.
According to authorities, the attack took place on a route south of the park, close to Townsend Avenue, on Saturday, August 8, between 7:30 and 8:15 a.m.
According to the victim, the suspect was a medium-built man in his late 30s to early 40s who stood between 5′ 6″ and 5′ 7″. According to the police, he was dressed in brown dress shoes, gray work slacks, and a blue polo shirt with a design.
Investigators say the man was last seen traveling north on the route, returning to the park, while carrying a silver box cutter with a silver blade.
Anyone who may have seen someone who fits this description is being asked to come forward by the police. Additionally, they are asking people who live around Woodward Avenue and Townsend Avenue to look for footage from their security cameras that shows footage taken between 5 and 9 a.m.
