Stafford Motorcyclist Thrown From Bike, Airlifted With Life-Threatening Injuries After Crash

Authorities say a man from Virginia was thrown off his motorcycle after ramming it into a curb in Stafford County and was taken to the hospital with potentially fatal injuries.

The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office reports that at approximately 8:19 p.m. on Saturday, July 26, deputies were sent to the intersection of Garrisonville Road and Furnace Road. There, they discovered a wrecked motorbike and its 36-year-old Front Royal driver who had been ejected from his vehicle.

Before first responders could arrive and save the rider’s life, bystanders hurried to assist him, according to officials. As of Monday, July 28, he is still in critical condition after being evacuated to the hospital.

According to a preliminary inquiry backed by several eyewitness reports, the rider was traveling west on Garrisonville Road when it collided with the curb at a high speed.

Public Information Officer Ryan Wilbur stated in a release that our Traffic Safety Unit is in charge of the inquiry. To lessen the likelihood of collisions on our roads, we urge all drivers to abide by the speed restrictions.

Bystanders and witnesses who gave vital information at the site were also acknowledged by officials.
