Teen Girl Critical In Newark Shooting, Police Say

According to authorities, a 16-year-old girl who was shot in Newark on Friday afternoon, June 27, is in critical condition.

According to Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda, the incident occurred on the 100 block of Huntington Terrace close to Lehigh Avenue at approximately 5:25 p.m.

According to Miranda, responding officers discovered the teenager with a gunshot wound. For treatment, she was brought to University Hospital.
