Teens Armed With Knife Rob Bethpage 7- Eleven: Police

Nassau County police said Friday, Aug. 15, that two adolescents are suspected of robbing a 7-Eleven in Bethpage and threatening a staff member with a knife.

The 7-Eleven in Bethpage is situated at 497 Stewart Avenue.

Around 1:30 p.m., the 14 and 15-year-old boys entered the business at 497 Stewart Avenue, took a few goods, and left without paying, according to detectives.

When a 50-year-old employee confronted them outside, the 15-year-old allegedly threatened the man and brandished a knife, according to authorities. The two suspects ran in the direction of the railroad tracks.

Following an investigation, police found the teenagers and safely arrested them.

Felony Robbery First Degree, Misdemeanor Menacing Second Degree, Misdemeanor Criminal Possession of a Weapon Fourth Degree, and Misdemeanor Criminal Trespass Third Degree are the charges against the 15-year-old, according to the police.

According to authorities, the 14-year-old is accused of misdemeanor criminal trespass third degree and felony robbery first degree.

Nassau County Family Court will hear the arraignment of both minors.
