Tesla Shot During Road Rage On I-95 In Spotsylvania; Police Release Photo Of Truck

Following a road rage incident on I-95 in Spotsylvania County that resulted in a Tesla being shot numerous times, Virginia State Police are requesting the public’s assistance.

At the 121-mile point on I-95, the pickup truck thought to be involved in the road rage incident was sighted.

According to authorities, the incident occurred in the southbound lanes close to the 122-mile marker at approximately 2:15 p.m. on Friday, June 20.

Investigators reported that following a battle with a dark-colored pickup truck, probably a black Toyota Tacoma, the Tesla was hit by gunfire many times. There were no reported injuries.

The suspected truck was spotted traveling south at around 2:18 p.m. close to the 121-mile marker.

Police published a picture of the car on Saturday, showing what looks to be a black bed liner and a white object in the rear.

According to state police, the investigation is still ongoing, and anyone with information or dashcam footage about the event is asked to contact Division II Dispatch at 804-750-8778.
