On Monday, June 30, Karina Carroll, 25, of Troy, entered a guilty plea to first-degree robbery and was given a five-year prison sentence in Albany County Court. Her sentence will run consecutively to a prior Rensselaer County sentence of five years.

Carroll acknowledged collaborating with Troy residents Terry Adams, 19, and William Camino, 20, to use Tinder to target gullible guys.

According to the prosecution, the trio utilized the dating app to entice a man into an alleyway close to Congress and Cypress streets in Troy on February 18, 2024, which was the date of the first heist.

According to the Daily Voice, the victim thought he was meeting with simply Carroll, but Camino and Adams showed up instead, brandished their pistols, and demanded his cash and phone.

Carroll used the pretense of a date to get a Guilderland man to a spot close to his flat on Western Avenue a few hours later. When they got back to his house, Adams and Camino came out with guns and took his car, iPhone, and watches.

Due to their involvement in the crimes, Adams and Camino had previously received 10-year prison sentences.
