Boston (AP) The Boston Red Sox defeated the Miami Marlins 7–5 on Saturday thanks to a three-run home run by Trevor Story.

Both Alex Bregman and Roman Anthony The Red Sox advanced to 41-22 at Fenway Park thanks to two hits apiece from Boston’s opening two hitters. In 6 1/3 innings, Brayan Bello (9-6) gave up four hits and two runs.

The Red Sox scored four more runs in the third after Masataka Yoshida singled home two runs in the first. In the fourth, Bregman’s RBI single put the score at 7-0.

In the ninth inning, the Marlins overcame Isaiah Campbell. Heriberto Hernández scored on Eric Wagaman’s triple and delivered an RBI single with two outs. Derek Hill added a single that scored a run.

After Campbell was removed, Aroldis Chapman earned his 22nd save by retiring Javier Sanoja on a grounder to shortstop.

For the first time since he was bench-cleared while pitching for Colorado in July of last year, Quantrill faced the Red Sox. In the third inning, he gave up an RBI double from Jarren Duran before Story hit his 19th home run.
