Five Northeast Contestants Join Cast Of Survivor 49
As part of the 49th season of Survivor, five candidates from the Northeast will try their luck on the beaches of Fiji this fall once the tribe has spoken.

On Wednesday, August 20, CBS revealed the new cast, which has many familiar hometowns from the Daily Voice coverage region.
One of them is Jawan Pitts, a 28-year-old video editor in Los Angeles who was born and raised in Salem, New Jersey.
Long Island native Nicole Mazullo, 26, is currently employed as a financial crime consultant in Philadelphia.
From Yonkers comes Rizo Velovic, a 25-year-old tech salesman who lives in the city.
Speaking on behalf of Massachusetts Originally from Wakefield, 28-year-old health specialist Shannon Fairweather currently resides in Boston.
Sophie Segreti, a 31-year-old strategy associate from Darnestown, Maryland, who is currently located in New York City, completes the list.
In the enduring reality game, which places contestants in a remote area and tests their abilities to outplay, outsmart, and outlast one another for the $1 million prize, the five will join 13 other castaways.
Filming for Season 49 of Survivor took place in Fiji, a destination that the show has visited year after year for of its pristine waters and difficult terrain.
For those who are unfamiliar with the game, participants compete in demanding mental and physical tasks, survive off of meager resources, and vote each other out at Tribal Council until only one is left.
The new season will stream on Paramount+ and debut on CBS on Wednesday, September 24 at 8 p.m.
