Tanner, an Uber driver, volunteered to drive ten hours straight to salvage rapper Jeezy’s Baltimore show when he needed a hero.

Before a scheduled event in the area, all flights to Baltimore and Washington, DC, were canceled, throwing Jeezy’s crew into emergency mode, he told followers on Instagram.
The rapper said that while his team frantically sought substitutes, inclement weather caused flights to be grounded and backup plans to be thrown off course, leaving him stranded in South Carolina only hours before his gig. At that point, his driver hit something on the freeway, puncturing the car’s gas tank.
Tanner arrived in an Uber at that moment.
According to Jeezy, he turned to his driver eight minutes into the vehicle and stated, “Hey, we have to go to Baltimore.” Tanner stopped, considered it, and continued to drive.
We got to Baltimore ten hours later, ten minutes before the show started! It was written by Jeezy. He made a lot of people happy tonight, I told him! I informed him he was my guest for the show tonight and gave him a Snowman Tee! Tanner, my Uber driver, is the true MVP! Not every hero has a cape.
“P.S. There was no way I was missing out on Baltimore!”
The tale didn’t stop there. When Tanner was taken on stage for Jeezy’s performance, the Baltimore audience gave him a standing ovation.
Tanner replied on Instagram: “Thank you for all the love, Tanner, the Uber driver here. You can’t stop a Jeezy party.”
Since then, Tanner has established himself as a celebrity in his own right, amassing hundreds of Instagram followers while posting behind-the-scenes videos from his appearance at Jeezy’s event and pictures of the automobile that made the trip.
He written, “Tanner the Uber driver here,” on social media. “I appreciate all of the love, everyone! And I want to thank Jeezy for an amazing show and a wonderful ride.
